Prof. Dr. Ken Nah / South Korea

Professor Dr. Ken Nah graduated with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 1983. His interest in human factors and ergonomics led him to complete a master’s degree at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1985. He received his PhD in engineering design from Tufts University, Boston, in 1996. Dr. Ken Nah is also a USA certified professional ergonomist (CPE).

Dr. Ken Nah has been a professor of design management at the International Design School for Advanced Studies (IDAS), Hongik University, Seoul, since 2000. He was the director general of the World Design Capital Seoul 2010. In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Ken Nah is the vice president of the Korean Federation of Design Association(KFDA) and was recently appointed director general of the Gwangju Design Biennale 2023.
